Description: The purpose of this feature class is to create and refine a dataset of candidate conservation sites for the Shared Landscapes Initiative and to make it available to intergovernmental staff, external experts, external partners, and Indigenous communities for comment. This feature class contains candidate conservation areas for the Shared Landscapes Initiative and include sites for ecological objectives on old forest, species at risk habitat, functioning rivers, cold water, clean drinking water and resilient coastal habitats. The feature class was creating by appending sites from multiple different spatial layers describing the ecological objectives, reflected in the attribute table.Data created January 2026, updated every 3 months
