description: A 50 m grid of the horizontal gradient of the reduction-to-the-pole (RTP) magnetic intensity for New Brunswick.This dataset represents the horizontal gradient of the reduction-to-the-pole (RTP) magnetic intensity for New Brunswick at 50 m resolution, derived from high-resolution airborne magnetic surveys flown at 200–300 m line spacing. The RTP_Hgrad enhances lateral changes in magnetic intensity and is commonly used to map the edges of magnetic sources, geological contacts, and structural boundaries. The dataset is provided in NB Stereographic double (NAD83).The RTP_Hgrad grid was generated from NRCan airborne profile data that were microlevelled and gridded at 50 m, converted to ER Mapper format, reprojected to NB Stereographic double, processed using reduction-to-the-pole, and then used to compute the horizontal gradient of the RTP grid.Data created Sept 2025.
