Service Description: A grid of total magnetic intensity (TMI) from the 2001 St. Stephen airborne magnetic survey, reprocessed and projected to NB Stereographic Double, NAD83.This dataset contains the total magnetic intensity (TMI) data acquired during the 2001 St. Stephen airborne magnetic survey. TMI reflects variations in the Earth's magnetic field caused by differences in magnetic mineral content and bedrock magnetization, making it valuable for mapping lithological boundaries, structural features, and potential mineralized zones. As part of the 2025 reprocessing work, the original magnetic data were microlevelled to reduce line noise and levelling inconsistencies, improving the clarity and continuity of geological patterns. The resulting TMI grid was then reprojected to the NB Stereographic Double coordinate system to ensure consistency with New Brunswick’s high-resolution magnetic compilation. The TMI grid was produced by microlevelling the original TMI data (Mag_miclev), gridding the corrected magnetic values, and reprojecting the dataset from its original NAD83 UTM Zone 19N coordinates into NB Stereographic Double, NAD83.Data created Sept 2025.
