description: The AGG (Airborne Gravity Gradiometry) and FTG (Full Tensor Gravity) compilation incorporates data from the Bathurst Bell 2002 survey (reprocessed in 2010), the Bathurst NW Falcon 2013 survey, and the SWN Falcon 2010 survey. The associated shape-index raster provides a dimensionless representation of the local geometric characteristics of the derived potential-field surfaces—classifying features such as domes, bowls, ridges, valleys, and saddle structures based on their principal curvatures. This dataset compiles Airborne Gravity Gradiometry (AGG) and Full Tensor Gravity (FTG) data from three surveys conducted in the Bathurst region: the Bathurst Bell 2002 survey (reprocessed in 2010), the Bathurst NW Falcon 2013 survey, and the SWN Falcon 2010 survey. These datasets provide measurements of the spatial variations in the gravity‐gradient tensor, which reflects subsurface density contrasts and enables high-resolution imaging of geological structures. As part of this compilation, a shape-index raster was generated to characterize the geometric form of the potential-field surfaces derived from the gravity‐gradient data. The shape index is a dimensionless quantity computed from the principal curvatures of these surfaces and is used to classify local surface geometry into features such as domes, bowls, ridges, valleys, and saddle structures. This raster therefore offers a spatially continuous representation of curvature-based structural information that can assist in identifying geological trends, boundaries, and potential targets. For a detailed explanation of the shape-index methodology and its use in potential-field interpretation, see Cevallos (2014): https://library.seg.org/doi/10.1190/geo2013-0436.1This dataset was created by compiling and reprocessing Airborne Gravity Gradiometry (AGG) and Full Tensor Gravity (FTG) survey data acquired over the Bathurst region. The compilation integrates three individual airborne surveys—Bathurst Bell 2002 (reprocessed in 2010), Bathurst NW Falcon 2013, and SWN Falcon 2010. Each survey was processed separately using standard AGG/FTG geophysical workflows, including terrain correction, conforming to the GGM+ satellite gravity model, and calculation of derived products such as Tz (2.8 density), Tzz, and the shape index. After individual processing, the datasets were merged into a unified compilation. All grids were generated in NAD83, New Brunswick Stereographic Double projection.Data created Sept 2025.
