View In:   ArcGIS Online Map Viewer

Name: Nature Legacy protected areas

Display Field: UID_

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon

Description: The data contains polygons that have been nominated by citizens, environmental professionals, Indigenous groups, staff of ERD etc. to be protected under the Pathway to Canada Target project. Sites that are in this feature class differ from those in the Proposed_Pathway_Areas in that they have undergone a vigorous screening process with branches outside of Forest Planning and Stewardship. This layer is a subset of the data in the Candidate_Conserved_Areas layer that have been identified to be made available for public comment. This is to allow staff to continue to work on the Candidate_Conserved_Areas layer without causing issues to the sites being made available for public comment.

Copyright Text: The data will be updated every few months by Brittany Harvey. Heather Loomer will also have editing authority.
