Service Description: A province-wide aeromagnetic dataset for New Brunswick showing the total magnetic intensity difference (BigT) on a 200 m grid. This dataset represents the BigT, or total magnetic intensity difference, for the entire province of New Brunswick at 200 m resolution. It was derived from airborne magnetic surveys originally flown at 800–1000 m line spacing and compiled by NRCan. The BigT values are calculated by converting the total magnetic intensity (TMI) into magnetic field components and computing the vector magnitude. The dataset provides a consistent, province-wide view of magnetic variations and is projected in NB Stereographic double (NAD83).The dataset was produced from existing NRCan TMI survey grids, converted to ER Mapper format, reprojected to NB Stereographic double, and the BigT was calculated from the TMI by converting to magnetic field components (X, Y, Z) and computing √(X² + Y² + Z²).Data created Sept 2025.
