Service Description: A 200 m grid of the first vertical derivative of the reduction-to-the-pole (RTP) magnetic intensity for New Brunswick. This dataset represents the first vertical derivative of the reduction-to-the-pole (RTP) magnetic intensity for the province of New Brunswick at 200 m resolution. It was derived from NRCan airborne magnetic surveys originally flown at 800–1000 m line spacing. The RTP_1VD highlights near-surface magnetic sources and sharpens magnetic anomalies, aiding interpretation of geological structures. The dataset is provided in NB Stereographic double (NAD83) for consistent province-wide coverage. The RTP_1VD grid was produced by converting existing NRCan TMI survey grids to ER Mapper format, reprojecting to NB Stereographic double, applying reduction-to-the-pole processing, and then calculating the first vertical derivative of the RTP grid.Data created Sept 2025.
