Service Description: A 50 m grid of residual magnetic intensity (RMI) for New Brunswick from high-resolution airborne surveys.This dataset represents the residual magnetic intensity (RMI) for New Brunswick at 50 m resolution, derived from high-resolution airborne surveys flown at 200–300 m line spacing. The RMI is calculated by removing a second-order regional trend from the total magnetic intensity (TMI), highlighting local magnetic anomalies for detailed geological interpretation. The dataset is provided in NB Stereographic double (NAD83) for consistent province-wide coverage.The high-resolution RMI grid was produced from NRCan profile data, microlevelled, gridded at 50 m, converted to ER Mapper format, reprojected to NB Stereographic double, and processed by removing a second-order trend from the TMI.Data created Sept 2025.
