A 50 m grid of the reduction-to-the-pole (RTP) magnetic intensity for New Brunswick.This dataset represents the reduction-to-the-pole (RTP) magnetic intensity for New Brunswick at 50 m resolution, created from high-resolution airborne magnetic surveys flown at 200–300 m line spacing. RTP processing shifts magnetic anomalies so they appear directly over their causative sources, simplifying geological interpretation by reducing the effects of magnetization direction. The dataset is provided in NB Stereographic double (NAD83).The RTP grid was generated from NRCan airborne profile data that were microlevelled and gridded at 50 m, converted to ER Mapper format, reprojected to NB Stereographic double, and processed to apply reduction-to-the-pole to the total magnetic intensity.Data created Sept 2025. |
