Service Description: A grid of total magnetic intensity (TMI) from the Bathurst 1988 airborne magnetic survey, reprocessed and projected to NB Stereographic Double, NAD83.This dataset represents the total magnetic intensity (TMI) measured during the 1988 Bathurst airborne magnetic survey. TMI provides a direct measure of the Earth's magnetic field strength, reflecting variations in bedrock magnetization associated with lithological changes, faults, alteration zones, and mineralized systems within the Bathurst Mining Camp. As part of the 2025 reprocessing effort, the original magnetic channel was microlevelled to remove line-to-line artefacts and noise, improving the consistency and interpretability of the dataset. The resulting gridded TMI data were then reprojected to the NB Stereographic Double coordinate system for seamless integration into the province-wide high-resolution compilation. The TMI grid was produced by microlevelling the original magnetic data (Mag_miclev), gridding the corrected TMI, and reprojecting it from the original NAD83 UTM Zone 19N coordinate system into NB Stereographic Double, NAD83.Data created Sept 2025.
