Service Description: A grid of total magnetic intensity (TMI) from the Restigouche 1997 airborne magnetic survey, reprocessed and projected to NB Stereographic Double, NAD83.This dataset represents the total magnetic intensity (TMI) acquired during the 1997 Restigouche Mag-EM survey. TMI captures variations in the Earth’s magnetic field linked to differences in bedrock magnetization, helping delineate lithological contacts, faults, and areas of potential mineralization. As part of the 2025 reprocessing workflow, the original magnetic channel was microlevelled to correct line-to-line mismatches, noise, and levelling artefacts, resulting in a cleaner and more geologically coherent dataset. The final TMI grid was then reprojected into the NB Stereographic Double coordinate system for seamless integration with the provincial high-resolution compilation. The TMI grid was generated by microlevelling the original magnetic channel, converting the corrected data into a continuous grid, and reprojecting it from NAD83 UTM Zone 19N to NB Stereographic Double, NAD83.Data created Sept 2025.
