Service Description: The dataset represents the first vertical derivative (1VD) of the complete Bouguer gravity anomaly (density 2.8 g/cc) for New Brunswick, gridded at 1 km resolution in NAD83 NB Stereographic projection.This dataset provides the first vertical derivative of the complete Bouguer anomaly calculated using a reduction density of 2.8 g/cc. The 1VD enhances short-wavelength features in the gravity field, improving the visibility of near-surface geological structures such as faults, contacts, and intrusive bodies. The grid covers the province of New Brunswick and is intended to support regional geological interpretation, structural mapping, and mineral exploration applications. The data is provided in NAD83, NB Stereographic double projection.The dataset was generated from ground gravity stations downloaded from the GSC server. The gravity data were reprocessed in September 2025 by recalculating Free Air and Bouguer anomalies using SRTM topography, applying terrain corrections (density 2.8 g/cc), and creating complete Bouguer grids. The complete Bouguer anomaly grid (CBoug_28) was then transformed using a first vertical derivative filter to produce the CBoug_28_1VD_NBStereo grid, which was subsequently gridded at 1 km cell size.Data created Sept 2025.
