Service Description: This dataset represents the residual complete Bouguer gravity anomaly (density 2.8 g/cc) derived by removing the regional component from the complete Bouguer grid for New Brunswick.The dataset provides the residual component of the complete Bouguer anomaly, highlighting short-wavelength gravity variations associated with relatively shallow geological structures. By subtracting the long-wavelength regional field, calculated using a 30 km upward continuation, the residual anomaly enhances features such as faults, lithological contacts, intrusive bodies, and shallow density contrasts. This dataset supports detailed geological interpretation, mineral exploration, and structural mapping. It is provided in the NAD83 NB Stereographic double projection.The dataset was produced using reprocessed ground gravity measurements. Free Air, Bouguer, and terrain corrections were recalculated using SRTM topography and a reduction density of 2.8 g/cc to create the complete Bouguer anomaly grid. A regional field was then generated by applying a 30 km upward continuation filter to the complete Bouguer grid. The residual anomaly was calculated by subtracting this regional field from the complete Bouguer anomaly. The final product was exported in NAD83 NB Stereographic.Data created Sept 2025.
