Service Description: This dataset represents the first vertical derivative of the complete Bouguer gravity anomaly (density 2.8 g/cc) for New Brunswick, derived from the GGMplus satellite gravity model. The GGM30_CB28_1VD dataset provides the first vertical derivative of the complete Bouguer gravity anomaly calculated from the GGMplus satellite gravity model. This derivative enhances short-wavelength gravity features, making shallow geological structures such as faults, lithological contacts, and intrusive bodies more visible. The dataset supports geological interpretation, mineral exploration, and structural mapping across New Brunswick. It is provided in NAD83 NB Stereographic double projection with a 100-meter grid resolution. The dataset was produced using the GGMplus satellite gravity model, which provides Free Air anomalies. Bouguer corrections were applied using SRTM elevation data and a density of 2.8 g/cc, followed by calculation of terrain corrections. The complete Bouguer anomaly grid was derived and then processed to obtain its first vertical derivative. The resulting grid was projected into NAD83 NB Stereographic, producing the dataset.Data created Sept 2025.
