description: Located on the Image Server E:\ImageServices\LakeDepth\FW_Lakes.gdb\LakeDepthRasters and Overviews stored on the R: Drive - \\Swv25fsp02\LakeDepth\Depth_Rasters (R:\LakeDepth)1. Description: This mosaic dataset contains interpolated elevation surfaces for lakes across New Brunswick2. Purpose: To provide DNR fisheries staff with mapping information to help guide and answer fisheries resources and management objectives and/ or questions, and from which to provide DNR clients (e.g. anglers) with useful mapping information in the form of lake depth maps with mosaics.3. Access permissions: open to public 4. How was it created? For examples, GPS, digitized from source paper maps at certain scale, or derived from other feature classes.• Mosaic dataset was created by adding in interpolated elevation surfaces. These interpolated surfaces were derived from the SDEOWNER.LakeDepth_Readings feature class which contains the depth information for the lakes. 5. When was it created? and the update frequency• Interpolated elevation surfaces were created in 2017• New information will be added as it is obtained (i.e. as a lake is depth sounded and elevation surface are interpolated)6. Additional information may help users of the data, such as limitations • Of the 1400 named lakes and ponds in NB, less than 300 have depth readings and associated mosaics as of fall 2017. All areas of a lake are not depth sounded; therefore there is some interpretation in the mosaics; as well, the deepest spots or shoals may not be recorded. 7. For each attribute, give a definition/description to explain what the attributes are, and specify the valid range and domain if it applies.• N/A8.
